I think it’s a combination of all three, AI, growing demand for data-driven decisions, and good career opportunities. Almost every industry generates data now, so companies need people who can analyze it and turn it into useful insights.

Couldn’t agree more. In my opinion, data science feels like second-hand thinking. It builds as it goes. It edits, it multiplies, and it analyses or extracts. It is a multi-dimensional Thanos-like hand tool if you know how to use it. I guess I really like it. But yes, I would say it’s a skill as essential as AI and, if mastered, would be invaluable to the user. And I say this without having mastered it.
