Honestly, the UI/UX job market in 2026 isn’t dead, but it’s not super easy either.

Companies are still hiring designers, especially for product-focused roles, startups, SaaS companies, fintech, etc. The demand is definitely there. But compared to a few years ago, it’s way more competitive — especially for beginners.

If you have strong skills, a solid portfolio, and know how to use modern tools (including AI tools), you still have good chances. What doesn’t work anymore is having a basic portfolio with just pretty screens.

So yeah:
Jobs exist. Hiring is happening.
But you need to actually be good to stand out.
