Can someone explain what content marketing is in simple terms? I’ve heard this term a lot in digital marketing, but I’m not very clear on how it actually works.
Content marketing is actually pretty simple once you think about it.
Instead of directly pushing ads like “Buy this now!”, it focuses on sharing useful or helpful information that people actually want to read, watch, or learn from. The idea is to help people first and let the sales happen naturally later.
For example, if someone is confused about choosing a laptop, a brand might write a blog like “Best laptops for students” or make a video explaining what specs to look for. When that content helps you, you start trusting the brand and when you’re ready to buy, you’re more likely to choose them.
