Placement rounds are starting in my college in about 10 days and I’m feeling a bit overwhelmed. What should I focus on in this short time to make the best use of it?
With just 10 days left, the goal is not to learn new things, but to polish what you already know.
First, stop jumping between random topics. That only increases stress. Instead, ask yourself: What do I already know well, and how can I present it better?
Focus on DSA basics. Revise common patterns like arrays, strings, stacks, queues, and linked lists. You don’t need very hard problems now. Make sure you can solve and explain easy and medium ones clearly.
Next, revise core subjects like DBMS, OS, OOPS, and basic CN. Keep it interview-oriented. Definitions, use cases, and common questions are enough.
Spend time on your resume and projects. Pick one or two projects and be ready to explain them end to end. Interviewers love asking follow-up questions here.
Do a little aptitude practice daily to stay sharp, and prepare HR answers like “Tell me about yourself” and “Why this company”.
Most importantly, take care of your sleep and stay calm. At this stage, confidence and clarity matter more than covering extra topics.
