AI tools are making coding faster and more accessible than ever. Students can now generate code, fix errors, and even build complete projects with the help of AI. But this raises an important question: are we truly developing our programming skills, or are we becoming too dependent on these tools?
In my opinion, AI is useful when it helps us understand concepts, explore different approaches, and solve problems. However, if we copy code without understanding how it works, we may struggle when something breaks or when an interviewer asks us to explain our decisions.
I think the real skill is not just knowing how to use AI, but knowing how to think independently and use AI responsibly.
What do you think? Should beginners first learn coding fundamentals before using AI tools, or can both be learned together? I’d love to hear different perspectives and experiences from this community.
