# Will I start as a fresher if I switch from BPO to data analytics?

I’m curious about this—if someone moves from a BPO job to data analytics, do they have to start as a fresher again? Or can their previous work experience still count for something? Would love to hear from anyone who’s made this switch or knows someone who has.

Not necessarily! Your BPO experience still counts, especially if you have experience with reporting, Excel, problem-solving, or analyzing customer trends. You may need to start in an entry-level data analytics role, but you’re not starting from zero.
