I have several years of BPO experience and want to move into data analytics. Can my operations and customer service experience help me become a data analyst?

Yes, definitely. BPO experience can actually be useful when moving into Data Analytics, especially if you’ve worked with reports, customer data, KPIs, Excel, or performance metrics.

You don’t have to start completely from zero. I’d focus first on **Excel, SQL, Power BI, and basic statistics** , then build 2–3 projects using real-world BPO scenarios like customer churn, call-center performance, or SLA analysis.

The biggest shift is learning to turn your existing business/process knowledge into data-driven insights. That can make the transition much easier.
