So, data science should be thought of as a broader term, which involves everything that you can do with automated insights from data. And sometimes it could be just doing statistical inference, it could be doing hypothesis testing, or actually it could be trying to fit input data to output data. And within that third part, a smaller subset is deep learning where you use deep neural networks to learn functions between inputs and outputs. So think of data science as a big bubble, within that deep learning is a small bubble right? And within that, there is of course, machine learning and high reinforcement learning etc. But it is these two things it should be clear the data science be super set that contains deep learning.
